Modified on Mon, 9 Sep at 2:53 PM

The Revisions feature in WordPress allows editors to revert to previous versions of posts or pages, providing a safety net for content changes. This feature is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of your content.

How to Access Revisions

  1. Open the Post or Page Editor:

    • Navigate to the WordPress dashboard.
    • Go to Posts or Pages.
    • Click on the title of the post or page you want to edit.
  2. Locate Revisions:

    • In the right-hand sidebar, find the "Revisions" section.
  3. View Revisions:

    • Click on "Revisions". This will open a screen displaying the different versions of your post or page.

Navigating Revisions

In the Revisions screen, you can navigate through different versions using the slider or the "Previous" and "Next" buttons.

The screen will show two versions side-by-side: the current version and a previous version.

Changes are highlighted, with deletions in red and additions in green.

If you find a version you want to restore, click the "Restore This Revision" button. This will revert your content to the selected version.

Utilize the Revisions feature regularly to safeguard against unwanted changes or mistakes.
