My article/module is locked

You may occasionaly get an error similar to this when you are trying to access an article of module on your site;


Check-out failed with the following error: The user checking out does not match the user who checked out the item.


This is due to a few reasons, usually because someone else is already editing the article, or due to the article not being exited properly using the SAVE/CLOSE buttons when it was last edited.


To fix this, you will see a LOCK icon to the left of the title of the article or module you are trying to edit.


Simply click the lock to checkin the item and allow it to be edited again.



A message with then show on the page if the checkin was successful.
